As Americans, from a young age, we’re indoctrinated with the “American dream”. The belief that we must pursue education, hard work, get a good job, buy a home, and create a promising future for our children.
For most, it sounds exciting.
But as a teenager working this soul-sucking job, I always used to question how these “different folks” were making my monthly salary in a day… how it seemed like they could always travel… how they were giving back to their loved ones… how they weren’t so frustrated by bills creeping up on them… and I later noticed one thing…
The people living this “good life” used the American dream to their advantage correctly and they learned how to put their money to work.
They used their cash (from jobs, etc) and traded in low-risk, high-reward options and stocks.
Something I had no idea was even possible at the time.
But once I noticed this pattern repeating itself, over and over again, I decided to finally give this thing a shot.
